MyCelik© Network and CTOS Digital Launch "CTOS GenCelik: Financial Wizard" Program to Empower Malaysian Youth
MyCelik© Network, in a co-organizing partnership with CTOS Digital Sdn. Bhd., is proud to announce the launch of the "CTOS GenCelik: Financial Wizard" program. This innovative initiative is designed to tackle the significant financial challenges faced by university students in Malaysia.
The program's primary objective is to promote financial literacy among youth and equip them with essential skills for sound financial management. It targets university and higher-education students between 18 and 25 years old , a demographic that is often financially vulnerable due to limited income and a lack of practical financial education. The initiative aims to address issues such as students relying on credit cards for living expenses and the high rate of defaulted student loans.
Key program objectives include:
Promoting Financial Literacy: Teaching youth fundamental financial concepts like budgeting, saving, investing, and managing debt.
Encouraging Goal Setting: Helping young people develop good financial habits and a clear plan to achieve their financial future.
Fostering Community Support: Connecting participants with financial professionals and community resources to help them reach their financial goals.
Making Learning Fun: Utilizing interactive financial games, trivia, and challenges to make the learning process engaging.
The program will feature a comprehensive curriculum with sharing sessions on topics such as "Credit & Debt: Borrow Smart, Spend Smarter" and "Wealth Protection: Shield Your Money, Build Your Future". Participants will also take part in a hands-on, scenario-based group game called the "Financial Wizard Challenge," where they will make real-world financial decisions and experience the consequences.
The "CTOS GenCelik: Financial Wizard" program will be held at four tertiary institutions across Malaysia on the following dates:
May 18, 2025: Universiti Putra Malaysia, Selangor
May 30, 2025: University College MAIWP International, Kuala Lumpur
June 20, 2025: University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur
June 26, 2025: Taylor’s University Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur
The organizers expect the program to increase financial literacy, enhance decision-making skills, and boost students’ confidence in financial planning. Ultimately, the goal is for these students to become ambassadors of financial literacy within their peer communities, contributing to a more financially resilient society.
